Another day
This year the Plenary Council is being hosted by the SMA House of Studies in Nairobi, Kenya. Fr. Mohan (the House Superior), Fr. John (the Bursar), Oscar and Hervé (seminarians) and Joel (deacon), together with a handful of staff members, have welcomed the delegates.

Programme of the Plenary Council
Following three days of presentations on a variety of topics, work in the small groups began on Friday. This year’s PC includes discussions and documents regarding the following topics:

Opening Address at plenary council
Years pass and the Society of African Missions grows. Every year, representatives from all SMA units meet to reflect on its past, analyse its present and set perspectives for the future. This year the meeting is being held in Nairobi, Kenya.

2017 Plenary Council
This year’s Plenary Council is taking place in Nairobi, at the SMA House of Studies, with a total of 30 participants. There are 25 delegates: 4 from the General Council; 9 Provincial and District Superiors; 8 District-in-formation Superiors;

Due to the historical and complex Egyptian historical, political, social and religious context, it is always difficult to know where to start a story from on a particular event as each one of them is correlated to another one before it, and we go on and on into infinity.

The mission of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles (OLA) is lived in Quebec (Canada) as an exchange, as a migration, as solidarity … since the presence of the Congregation in Canada more in the past 60 years.
